181117-N-TP834-0165 (Nov. 17, 2018) ATLANTIC OCEAN – Culinary Specialist Seaman Paul Olea, from Los Angeles, Calif. loads ammunition into an M240B machine gun on the flight deck of Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Michael Monsoor (DDG 1001) while Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Stefani Skiendziel, from Hillsdale, Mich., supervises. The future USS Michael Monsoor is the second ship in the Zumwalt-class of guided-missile destroyers. Michael Monsoor is currently transiting to San Diego, and upon arrival, will begin a combat availability and then undergo a combat test period.
