Bertoldo’s heroics will be presented as part of the Netflix documentary series “Medal of Honor.” The series highlights stories of America’s Medal of Honor recipients. Bertoldo, of Decatur, Illinois, received the Medal of Honor for his actions defending his battalion command post while assigned to the 42nd Infantry Division’s 1st Battalion, 242nd Infantry Regiment in Hatten, France January 9-10, 1945.
