Joseph Taluto speaks with production interviewer Amy Martinez during filming of the “Medal of Honor” documentary series highlighting stories of America’s Medal of Honor recipients on June 1, 2017 in Washington, DC. Taluto is the former commander of the Army National Guard’s 42nd Infantry Division and spoke about the WWII exploits of Army Master Sgt. Vito Bertoldo. Bertoldo, of Decatur, Illinois, received the Medal of Honor for his actions defending his battalion command post while assigned to the 1st Battalion, 242nd Infantry Regiment in Hatten, France January 9-10, 1945.
