High school bands takes the field at Finley Stadium as a part of the Marine Corps Invitational U.S. Scholastic Band Association 2011 Southern States Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn., Nov. 5. The event was a chance for high school bands to compete against other schools throughout the southern states. Marines supported the event by presenting a special award that honored the team who best exuded the Marine Corps’ values. Bands performed various themed numbers ranging from Michael Jackson to Queen.
