A Marine with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 24, Marine Air Group 24, 1st Marine Air Wing loads 9mm rounds aboard the SS Curtiss Sept. 11, 2018, in preparation for exercise Valiant Shield. Valiant Shield is a biennial, U.S.-only field training exercise (FTX) with a focus on integration of joint training among U.S. forces in relation to current operational plans.
