U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Rayni Grey with 3rd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, 3rd Marine Air Wing (MAW) engages targets as Cpl. Matthew Gumprecht with 3rd Law Enforcement Battalion, 3rd MAW ensures safety aboard the SS Curtiss Sept. 11, 2018, in preperation for exercise Valiant Shield. Valiant Shield is a biennial, U.S.-only field training exercise (FTX) with a focus on integration of joint training among U.S. forces in relation to current operational plans.
