Retired Lt. Col. Rick Sauer, center, and the men of Company A, 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, salute 1st Sgt. David H. McNerney's Medal of Honor as Sgt. 1st Class Andrew C. Whittingham accepts the medal on behalf of the 4th Inf. Div. in an Oct. 6 ceremony. McNerney, the last living "Ivy" Division MoH recipient, died Oct. 10, 2010. In his will, he left his medal to the soldiers of the 4th Inf. Div.
