Spanish service members, right, working with the International Security Assistance Force serve traditional Spanish foods, including a variety of dry-cured Spanish hams and gazpacho, following the Spanish National Day ceremony at ISAF Headquarters, Oct. 13. Nearly 50 Spanish service members along with many of their international counterparts serving with ISAF throughout Kabul attended the ceremony to remember the day Christopher Columbus landed in the Americas. While they may not have been able to celebrate, Oct. 12, as their compatriots in Spain did, the troops still felt it important to honor the holiday and pay homage to their fallen comrades with a ceremony.
