Soldiers from the 1-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, board a charter aircraft Aug. 25, 2018, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. These Soldiers had received notice to deploy to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California. In response, a battalion-sized element known as “Task Force Regulars” conducted an Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise and sent Soldiers by air through McChord Field to NTC.
