Commander, U.S. 2nd Fleet Vice Adm. Daniel P. Holloway, C2F Fleet Command Master Chief Glenn Mallo and C2F Staff Master Chief Information Systems Electrician Yvonne Kitchen present a plaque commemorating the history and accomplishments of 2nd Fleet during the command’s disestablishment ceremony held on board Naval Station Norfolk. C2F assets, personnel and responsibilities will merge into the new Fleet and Joint Operations organization at U.S. Fleet Forces Command. The disestablishment allows the Navy to continue the C2F mission while achieving vital cost-savings and a streamlined organizational structure.
