    13th Marine Expeditionary Unit   

    Marines from Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team 1/1, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit fast rope from a CH-46E “Sea Knight” belonging to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 163 (Reinforced), during re-certification training aboard the USS Green Bay, March 23. The 13th MEU returned to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton Sept. 29 after spending seven months as a Theater Reserve Force also providing support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in both 5th and 7th Fleet Areas of Responsibility.
