An air cushion landing craft from Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5 participated in an exercise that tested the strike group's ability to defend itself against small boat attacks. Stennis, as part of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group, participated in the Expeditionary Strike Force Exercise consisting of three Strike Groups; the John C.
