Sailors from aircraft intermediate maintenance department watch from the jet shop aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) during an exercise that tested the strike group's ability to defend itself against small boat attacks. The exercise involved Stennis, USS O'Kane (DDG 77), USS Denver (LPD 9), USS Rushmore (LSD 47), USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) and USS Antietam (CG 54). Stennis, as part of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group, participated in the Expeditionary Strike Force Exercise consisting of three Strike Groups; the John C.
