    An Afghan Air Force flight engineer assigned to the Kandahar Air Wing, Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, stands next to a Mi-17 helicopter at a combat outpost in Mizan, Zabul province, Sept. 8. A coalition aircrew of Afghan, U.S. and Lithuanian airmen from the KAW delivered firewood and food to Afghan Security Forces at remote combat outposts. Afghan Air Force Mi-17s can externally carry more than 8,500 pounds of oversized or bulky cargo using the sling load method.
