NAVAL STATION GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba (July 4, 2018) - Cmdr. Fiona Halbritter, commanding officer of the Whidbey Island-Class Dock Landing Ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44), left, Capt. Brian J. Diebold, commander of Task Force 48, commodore, Destroyer Squadron 40, center, and Rear Adm. John C. Ring, commander of Joint Task Force Guantanamo, right, take part in a presentation of Textron Systems during a scheduled port call at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay. Gunston Hall is deployed to the U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations supporting Southern Seas 2018, which is an annual collaborative deployment in the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility where a task groups conduct a variety of exercises and multinational exchanges to enhance interoperability, increase regional stability, and build and maintain regional relationships with countries through joint, multinational and interagency exchanges and cooperation.
