Petty Officer 1st Class William Kitchens, Assault Craft Unit 4 operations specialist, stands onboard a U.S. Navy Landing Craft Air Cushion, while making a call back to multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan after landing on Arta Beach, Djibouti, Sept. 3. The LCAC is manned by sailors from ACU 4, homeported at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek - Fort Story, Va., and is embarked aboard Bataan. The Bataan Amphibious Ready Group supports maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th fleet area of responsibility.
