A U.S. Navy Landing Craft Air Cushion, ferrying U.S. Marines from the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and their equipment to a training event lands on Arta Beach, Djibouti, Sept. 3. The LCAC is manned by sailors from Assault Craft Unit 4, homeported at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek - Fort Story, Va., and is embarked aboard the landing helicopter dock ship USS Bataan. The Bataan Amphibious Ready Group supports maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th fleet area of responsibility.
