Recruits with Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, conduct pull-ups during a physical fitness test at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, June 25. Recruits must use their upper body strength to completely raise their chin over the bar. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 10.
