TOKYO, Japan (June 17, 2018) Sailors assigned to Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) for Pacific Partnership 2018 (PP18) remove the chocks and chains from an SH-60K Sea Hawk helicopter attached to the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) during a bilateral medical training team drill between Mercy and JMSDF personnel. USNS Mercy is making port visits to Yokosuka and Tokyo to promote relationships between U.S. Navy Sailors and Japanese citizens through cultural exchange and bilateral training.
