U.S. Army CW3 Marty, Vaughan, 173rd Brigade Support Battalion jump master, prepares for a joint-forcible entry operation during exercise Bayonet Strike June 13, 2018, at Aviano Air Base, Italy. Marty supervised members of the U.S. Army 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade and the Italian Army 186th Airborne Regiment Forlgore Brigade as they executed a static-line jump on a C-17 Globemaster III, operated by the Hawaii Air National Guard. The training focused on enhancing operational standards with NATO and other Air Mobility Command aircraft as well as the development of individual technical skills.
