Members of the Spanish Army Airborne Brigade prepare for a static line jump during exercise Bayonet Strike June 12, 2018, over Casa De Campo, Zaragoza, Spain. The Spanish paratroopers joined U.S. Army soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, in an airdrop for a joint-forcible entry operation. Personnel and equipment were transported by a C-17 Globemaster III, operated by members of the Hawaii Air National Guard. The training focused on enhancing operational standards with NATO and other Air Mobility Command aircraft as well as the development of individual technical skills.
