A U.S. Army medic identified by the name tape 'BASSAR' is providing medical treatment to a casualty lying on a military litter inside a field medical tent. The patient, wearing Army Combat Uniform (ACU pattern), has a cervical collar applied and appears to have simulated injuries including what appears to be a tourniquet on the leg. This appears to be a medical training exercise based on the controlled environment and visible simulation indicators.

Spc. Benjamin Bassar, healthcare specialist, assigned to the 1171st Area Medical Support Company, Michigan National Guard, cuts open the pant leg of an injured patient to assess possible wounds during a mass casualty exercise near Ziemsko Airfield, Poland, June 5, 2018. The MASCAL exercise was part of the validation phase for the 1171st Area Medical Support Company, Michigan National Guard, who is scheduled to deploy to the region sometime later next year.
