Lubbock, Texas citizen Master Sgt. Chris Castilleja, a civil affairs specialist from the 413th Civil Affairs Battalion attached to Combined Joint Task Force – Hope, hands their turn numbers to local nationals during a Medical Readiness Training Exercise in Canton Espino Abajo as part of Beyond the Horizon 2018 on May 28. BTH is an annual U.S. Army South and U.S. Southern Command's humanitarian and civic assistance program exercise deploying active Army, National Guard and Reserve Soldiers alongside servicemembers from other branches of the US Military, and Salvadoran military and civic agencies which will bring vital services and resources to rural communities of the host nation.
