North Ogden, Utah citizen Capt. Kris Kuchenmeister, a dentist from the 143rd Dental Company and attached to Combined Joint Task Force – Hope, applies local anesthesia to a local national boy before a tooth extraction during a Medical Readiness Training Exercise in Canton Espino Abajo as part of Beyond the Horizon 2018 on May 28. BTH is an annual U.S. Army South and U.S. Southern Command's humanitarian and civic assistance program exercise deploying active Army, National Guard and Reserve Soldiers alongside servicemembers from other branches of the US Military, and Salvadoran military and civic agencies which will bring vital services and resources to rural communities of the host nation.
