JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 23, 2018) Hospitalman Dre James, an orthopedic technician at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, applies a short-leg cast on a sailor inside the orthopedics clinic. James, a native of Arlington, Texas, says, “The Hospital Corps has such a rich tradition and it’s an honor to be a part of that illustrious group. My favorite part of working in orthopedics is being able to work with my hands. It keeps me on my toes.” On June 17, the Navy Hospital Corps celebrates 120 years of service, tending to the sick and injured.
