JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 23, 2018) Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Sara Bookall, a laboratory technician at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, studies a blood sample with a microscope. Bookall, a native of Clarendon, Jamaica, says, “Whatever we’re doing here in the laboratory, it helps the doctors in their treatment of the patients. We understand our role and strive for excellence.” Established June 17, 1898, the Hospital Corps cares for sailors and Marines on the battlefield, at sea, under the sea, and in military treatment facilities worldwide.
