JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 16, 2018) Hospitalman Apprentice Shelby Hall measures a newborn girl (being held by mom) during a two-week checkup at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s pediatrics clinic. Hall, a native of Rowlett, Texas, says, “I enjoy the opportunities to help enhance people’s lives. I get to see children and their beautiful smiles every day.” The Navy Hospital Corps celebrates 120 years of service on June 17. Hospital Corpsmen take a pledge to faithfully perform all of their duties, to hold the care of the sick and injured to be a privilege and a sacred trust, and assist the medical officer with loyalty and honesty.
