FIREBASE SAENZ, Helmand province, Afghanistan - The Marines from Gun-3, Alpha Battery build a small observation post in the corner of their berthing area. Sgt. Tyler Ledbetter, a Vancouver, Wash., native and a howitzer section chief for the battery, said his Marines wanted to add humor to their hard work with this observation post. Ledbetter said it was to make a statement in his words “to say this is our last stand, this is our base, and this is our home right here.”
