Leyte Gulf Gets Underway for Sea Trials

NORFOLK, Va. (May 16, 2018) Line handlers aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55) remove lines as the ship gets underway from Naval Station Norfolk to conduct sea trials May 16. It is the ship’s first time getting underway following a six-month Selected Restricted Availability managed by Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center. MARMC provides services for more than 70 ships in the Mid-Atlantic region to ensure ships and their crews are able to fulfill their missions with minimal repair and maintenance downtime.
