NORFOLK, Va. (May 16, 2018) A tugboat pulls alongside the Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55) as the ship prepares to get underway from Naval Station Norfolk to conduct sea trials. It is the ship’s first time getting underway following a six-month Selected Restricted Availability managed by Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center. MARMC provides services for more than 70 ships in the Mid-Atlantic region to ensure ships and their crews are able to fulfill their missions with minimal repair and maintenance downtime.
