U.S. Marine Cpl. Jason Istre, center, assigned to the visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) team from the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (13th MEU), instructs a Kuwait VBSS team member on close quarters combat techniques during an engagement between VBSS teams from Kuwait, 13th MEU and the amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45), as part of exercise Eager Mace 11-2. Eager Mace is a bilateral amphibious engagement between the armed forces of the U.S. and Kuwait. Comstock is underway supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
