A U.S. Marine prepares to fire an M240 machine gun from atop a Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) 7-ton truck during a live-fire range as part of Exercise Balikatan at Colonel Ernesto Ravina Air Base, Philippines, May 10, 2018. The live-fire range focused on firing a machine gun from the top of a moving MTVR while maintaining an accurate shot. Exercise Balikatan, in its 34th iteration, is an annual U.S.-Philippine military training exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, counterterrorism and other combined military operations held from May 7 to 18.
