    III Marine Expeditionary Force

The participants trained together on urban demolition where they learned how to breach buildings with explosives in a combat setting. Exercise Balikatan, in its 34th iteration, is an annual U.S.-Philippine military training exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, counterterrorism and other combined military operations held from May 7 to 18. Flores is security with 790 Air Base Group and Jones is a combat engineer with 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion. Flores is a native of Bicol Region, Philippines. Jones is a native of Lagrange, Ohio.
