U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Benjamin Lammers and Lance Cpl. Emmanuel Dade attach two chains from an AMK36 Wrecker to a Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR) 7-ton truck sunken in the mud during Exercise Balikatan at Colonel Ernesto Ravina Air Base, Philippines, May 6, 2018. The MTVR was intentionally stuck on the way to a range outside of base for training purposes, allowing the Marines to practice recovering vehicles in a combat setting. Exercise Balikatan, in its 34th iteration, is an annual U.S.-Philippine military training exercise focused on a variety of missions, including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, counterterrorism and other combined military operations held from May 7 to 18. Lammers and Dade are motor transportation operators with Transportation Services Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 4, 3rd Marine Logistics Group. Lammers is a native of Springfield, Missouri. Dade is a native of Orlando, Florida. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Isabella Ortega)
