Lt. Col. Michael Willen, U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America conductor, bows to the audience in Chatfield, Minn., April 18, 2018. Part of BOMA’s mission is to educate and inspire, so Willen took a moment to recognize the local military community in the state, which included Col. Tony Polashek, commander of the 934th Airlift Wing, who attended the concert. “I just want you to know that you have a really wonderful Air Force Guard and Air Force Reserve unit here,” said Willen. “And they’re doing great things on behalf of the Air Force. We as an active duty for couldn’t do it without them.”
