Airman 1st Class Melissa Edgmon, U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America vocalist, speaks to audience members following the show, a routine practice shared amongst band members, Chatfield, Minn., April 17, 2018. During the show she performed multiple songs, including “Let Me Fly,” a song written as a dedication to the Tuskegee Airmen from the Air Force musical “Born of a Dream.” She’s originally from Oklahoma City, and completed her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Theater from the University of Central Oklahoma.
