Canóvanas, Puerto Rico, April 10, 2018 - Puerto Rico's Public-Private Partnership Authority Executive Director, Omar J. Marrero, speaks with hurricane survivors during the press conference where the Sub-Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Pamela Hughes Patenaude, announced the economic assistance that will be granted to Puerto Rico, to recover from Hurricane María. $18,500 million has been obligated to the island to address housing, infrastructure and economic development issues, and will be administered through the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG).
