180401-N-ZK016-0143 U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (April 1, 2018) Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Laboon (DDG 58) is underway in support of Alligator Dagger – a combat rehearsal off the coast of Djibouti, Africa. Led by Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Alligator Dagger integrates U.S. Navy and Marine Corps assets to practice and rehearse a range of critical capabilities available to U.S. Central Command both afloat and ashore to promote stability and security in the region.
