Soldiers of the Minnesota National Guard's 682nd Engineer Battalion removed HESCO barriers that served as a floodwall in downtown Minot, N.D., July 9. Using heavy equipment provided by the North Dakota National Guard, the 682nd deconstructed the sand-filled barriers and trucked them to the city dump thus returning the use of city streets and businesses to the local citizenry. Spc. Andrew Barkowitz, Camp Ripley-based 851st Vertical Engineer Company, checks the oil on a Bobcat tractor.
