Advanced individual training (AIT) Soldiers and Marines learn to properly carry a human remains transfer case Mar. 23 at Joint Mortuary Affairs Center, The Quartermaster School, Fort Lee, Va. The AIT students must be able to carry a 450-pound transfer case for 50 meters to graduate from the course. Upon graduation from the seven-week course, the students will become either Army mortuary affairs specialists or Marine Corps personnel retrieval and processing specialists.
