U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Liceth Bulla Rey is a member of the 145th Maintenance Squadron as an aircraft electrician; she enlisted in the military in 2012, and is originally from Colombia, South America. Bulla Rey was inspired to enlist after seeing military natural disasters relief efforts. Bulla Rey is attending North Carolina State University for a Masters of Science Degree in Physiology with a Certificate in Biotechnology, and she is awaiting acceptance into Dental School. Upon completion of Dental School, Bulla Rey wants to become a dentist for the U.S. Air Force and volunteer her services in the community and around the world. Bulla Rey frequently volunteers with non-profit dental clinics, including a planned mission trip to a dental clinic in Peru this summer. Bulla Rey said her resilience and ambition to do her best every day is derived from helping others in need, such as the young boy shown in the photograph.
