Maj. Gen. Thomas Conant, the commanding general of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, pins a Distinguished Flying Cross to Maj. Tres Smith, a UH-1Y Huey pilot, who flew with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 369, during a ceremony aboard Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, Calif., May 24. Smith, as well as crew chief Staff Sgt. Bart Davis, both earned Distinguished Flying Crosses for heroism in Afghanistan in June 2010.
