More than 480 families have returned to a former Daesh strongholds in the western part of Iraq, according to local reports. Here, residents engage in commerce as they attempt to return to normalcy. Following the fall of Mosul, ISIS members relocated to smaller towns and villages across Iraq. Anbar Province became a hot bed for ISIS members on the run, and forced families to leave their homes. With the news of Coalition-trained Iraqi Tribal Mobilization Forces clearing the town of ISIS loyalists, establishing security, and initiating reconstruction of schools, hospitals and businesses, Anbar families are returning home.
