A man in a military-style olive green t-shirt and red baseball cap appears to be speaking or giving remarks at what looks like a memorial or tribute event. Behind him, uniformed Marines hold large portrait photographs of individuals, suggesting this is a remembrance ceremony honoring fallen service members. The setting appears to be an outdoor military installation.

Lt. Col. Kevin Hunter, the commanding officer of Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463 (HMH-463), addresses the squadron upon the completion of their memorial hike, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Jan. 11, 2018. The hike commemorated the 12 Marines from the squadron who were lost in a CH-53E crash while conducting training operations in 2016. While the hike was a solemn reminder of those the squadron lost, it also served as an event to help celebrate the Marines’ lives and the proud traditions of HMH-463.
