U.S. Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 463 (HMH-463) pose for a photo before beginning a unit memorial hike, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Jan. 11, 2018. The hike commemorated the 12 Marines from the squadron who were lost in a CH-53E crash while conducting training operations in 2016. While the hike was a solemn reminder of those the squadron lost, it also served as an event to help celebrate the Marines’ lives and the proud traditions of HMH-463.
