180104-N-YM543-367 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Jan. 4, 2018) - Operations Specialist 3rd Class Anah Kotila, from Rosebud, Mo., and Operations Specialist Seaman Shelby Thompson, from Edwardsville, Ill., attached to the U.S. 7th Fleet Flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), participate in sound powered telephone training during a focused fast cruise in preparation for the ship's undocking. Blue Ridge is in an extensive maintenance period in order to modernize the ship to continue to serve as a robust communications platform in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
