180104-N-YM543-535 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Jan. 4, 2018) - Boatswain's Mate 3rd class Erick Castillo, from Stockton, Cali., attached to the U.S. 7th Fleet Flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), gives line handling training to his shipmates during a focused fast cruise in preparation for the ship's undocking. Blue Ridge is in an extensive maintenance period in order to modernize the ship to continue to serve as a robust communications platform in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
