Robert Lennon, a specialist in general medicine, gives a lecture on sexually transmitted infections aboard NAsH Soares de Meirelles on the Amazon River in Brazil, November 28. Lennon is a member of a team of five U.S. Navy doctors who are engaging in a month-long humanitarian mission on the Amazon River. The team is working with the Brazilian Navy to deliver healthcare to some of the most isolated people in the world. As the team sails from one village to the next, they use the time for medical lectures and sharing best practices for healthcare in riverine environments.
