Retired Sgt. 1st Class Brian Mancini speaks about the injuries he sustained while deployed to the staff of the theater hospital on Joint Base Balad April 28. Mancini, a Phoenix, Ariz., native, came to Balad during a weeklong visit to Iraq as a part of Operation Proper Exit, a program to help wounded warriors get closure.
