    Marne Soldiers compete in the Thornsbury Obstacle Course at Fort Stewart, Georgia on Nov.15, 2017. The obstacle course consisted of Soldiers going through 15 obstacles followed by a ruck march. The SFC Thornsbury Obstacle course competition is in memory of Sgt. 1st Class Duane A. Thornsbury, Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), who died from injuries sustained in a vehicle rollover in Baghdad, Iraq September 12, 2009. The obstacle course competition is part of Marne Week, a celebration for Soldiers to compete in team sports and recreational group activities while honoring the division’s service to the nation. This month marks the centennial anniversary of the Marne Division. Born out of World War I, the division has answered the nation’s call for 100 years.
